Последнее творение латышей выходит из рамок техно-дэта в направлении пресловутого modern death metal. Но это еще не мдм, а так, всего понемножку. Композиции упрощены, техника исполнения здесь уже не очень-то и требуется.. Может состав банды изменился?

Согласен с Язвой, альбом мягко говоря, непонятный. Предыдущие релизы граничили с хитовостью одной-двух композиций, но теперь нет и этого. Где-то перебор, где-то чего-то не хватает, а общее впечатление - каша.

...И тут я призадумался. А что если сравнить Splenetic с искусством эпохи барокко? Ведь в последнем было очень много непонятного, но от созерцателя и не требовалось полного понимания - автор сам навязывал зрителю своё видение. То же справедливо и в отношении этого альбома Neglected Fields - только через добрые десять месяцев я-таки въехал в этот материал. Та самая "каша", которой я столь нелестно обозвал творение прибалтов изначально задумывалась как нечто хаотическое.
Отныне забираю свои слова с предыдущего поста обратно и повышаю оценку на добрые три балла. Стало быть, 10 из 12.

P.S. теперь осталось понять и ощутить прелесть Lykathea Aflame, чей выпуск для меня до сих пор оставался далёким.

Ты знаешь не могу я найти modern death metal в этом альбоме. Как по мне в музыкальном плане он намного интереснее предыдущих. Сразу видно ребята 6 лет даром не потеряли, все композиции хитовые, мелодии очень вдумчивые, приятные, а пресловутая "каша" позднее исчезает. Альбом достоин одних из самых высших похвал! поначалу мне тоже не нравился-потом расслушал-все у них нормально-отличнейший релиз-просто несколько другой от привычного
