Сбили вы меня с толку своим бруталом. Где он тут? Видимо, в моем понимании брутал - это Putrid Pile, а тут отголоски прото-брутала, но имхо от дэта здесь чистый дэт, без мелодики, без брутала точно, возможно привкус индастриала, но он слышен в очень blackened-частях, которые больше смахивают на какой-то Limbonic Art. Так что имхо это чистейший дэт-блэк. Местами еще почему-то рождались ассоциации с Immortal, звук немного похож на Battles In The North (и на прошлом альбоме тоже), и риффаки иногда как у позднего аббата (все же одна страна, один год, все совпадения могут быть неслучайны).
Хороший релиз, вполне на уровне.

Соглашусь с Metalass - брутал в понимании сегодняшнего дня здесь отсутствует напрочь, однако перед нами все равно очень жесткий Death Metal, разбавленный блэковыми и индастриальными зарисовками по вкусу. В общем-то, произрастает это творчество из наследия Morbid Angel позднего периода с Формулы включительно. Благо, потом Деструктора взяли поиграть в его любимую группу, жаль только отметился он в ней провальным Illud Divinum Insanus и более ничем...

Из двух альбомов Myrkskog этот считаю наиболее удачным, за счет реальной жестокости, изливающейся из динамиков. Месили знатно. Пластинка, пожалуй, что уникальная. Так, имхо, и надо было продолжать, такой потенциал загубили...

Не согласен я. Имхо, всю свою уникальность они оставили как раз на первом альбоме, вот на нем был просто-напросто блэко-дэтовый ураган, сметающий все на своем пути (плюс знатный ремикс в концовке). А на сабже от блэка остались рожки, да ножки (т. е. ровным счетом ничего), а заместили его все же довольно брутальным дэтом американского розлива. Альбом при этом все равно хороший, но не чета дебютнику.
