Все очень мрачно, печально, упадочно. Альбом – самый тяжелый из всех, записанных с Мартином. Лучшие песни выделить сложно, ибо выбирать есть из чего. Мне понравились Illusion of power и Kiss of death. 8/10

Соглашусь, альбом действительно тяжел. Насчет самого тяжелого - можно поспорить. Я думаю Обезчеловечиватель на уровне стоит с этим альбомом.

"Был популярен не столько альбом, сколько турне в его поддержку, на разогреве выступали Motörhead и набиравшая популярность в те годы дэт-метал команда Morbid Angel. Перед последними концертами тура Рондинелли был уволен по причине желания вернуться в группу Билла Уорда, с которым были отыграны несколько концертов на крупных фестивалях в Южной Америке. В турне исполнялись вещи со всех периодов группы, кроме «Seventh Star» и «Born Again», за исключением последних концертов с Уордом, в которых был сделан упор на ранний материал, несколько вещей эпохи Дио и песня «Headless Cross» с одноимённого альбома. Вскоре группу вновь покинул Уорд, а за ним и Гизер Батлер. Батлер присоединился к Оззи Осборну для записи с ним альбома Ozzmosis. После записи альбома он организовал собственную группу G/Z/R и выпустил диск Plastic Planet. На замену Батлеру и Уорду были приглашены Кози Пауэлл и Нил Мюррей: таким образом воссоединился состав времён альбома Tyr. Завершающая глава группы перед долгим воссоединение. Этот альбом не стал исключением в экспериментальном подходе по созданию музыки. Альбом был записан более тяжелым по сравнению с предыдущей работой. Как будто группа решила вернуться к своим истокам и выдали думовые композиции The Illusion of Power. Эта работа не самая любимая у меня, если взять из 5 работ с Мартином. Обложка альбома одна из самых лучших у BS
