Куортон усложнил композиции (что ясно хотя бы по вступительной Odens Ride Over Nordland), которые стали продолжительнее, появилось намного больше смен ритма, всевозможных соло. Согласен с Deze, такую музыку можно назвать thrash black, ее лучшими примерами можно назвать A Fine Day To Die, Dies Irae, заглавную Blood Fire Death.
что удивляет, что автор, записывая такую серьезную, даже пафосную музыку, тут же может посмтебаться (цитата какой-то детской песенки в Pace 'till Death).

Бурзума тут нет, но ярость еще та и Каноны ! Молодым надо давать через соску, прежде чем они начинают хвалить, что- то новое. А виниловый лосось на трекере звучит вообще непередоваемо.И у Квортона нет плохих альбомов.

Весьма солидный багаж Thrash-metal содержит в себе этот альбом.
Он, конечно, занимателен своей эпичностью, которой обрамлен по краям, но в середине среди этого рубилова Куартон разошелся не на шутку. Так и хочется то тут то там крикнуть Hell Awaits или Sodomy and Lust) Крутой релиз, колбасный.
