Обычно на вопрос "Что послушать из дэт-треша" суровые ветераны-поклонники стиля начинают советовать целый сонм сомнительного вида старых команд, при этом совершенно игнорируя сравнительно молодых адептов стиля, наивно полагая что новички не смогут создать что либо хорошее. Между тем, наравне со шведскими собратьями The Haunted и Carnal Forge финны Dead Shape Figure в пух и прах разрушают это правило.
Альбом начинается под невинные расслабленные переборы и бульканье бонга, но уже второй трек внезапно обрушивает шквал скоростей и звука. Никаких корявых бластбитов или кастрированного звука, трешевый шквал Blades по степени безумия не уступает грайндкору. На следующем Lesser the man финны удивляют отличным хрестоматийным соляком. Bend the weak - пожалуй, самый слабый трек альбома, с вяленьким вступлением, и я предпочитаю о нем просто не вспоминать. Оставшиеся треки продолжают гнуть линию скоростного техничного месива с периодическим снижением темпа, но даже в самые медленные моменты не возникает ощущения ненужности - волшебным образом финнам удается удерживать градус драйва на высокой отметке до конца.

Отдельное слово стоит сказать о последней песне: насколько я знаю, команда позвала для ее записи местного поп-вокалиста. Так это, или нет, но получился атмосферный трек с увесистыми среднетемповыми риффами и чистым вокалом умеренной степени укуренности, вызывающий ассоциации никак не с зимними просторами, а скорее с задымленной хижиной в тропическом болоте.

Достойная во всех смыслах работа. Любителям стиля строго рекомендуется. 9/10
