Да, альбом действительно наизамечательнейший, особенно отличает его дичайшая вокальная вакханалия и безумства в лучших традициях Диаманды Галас. Подобной одержимость в блэке крайне редко можно услышать. Тут же заряжена двойная порция безумствований - с одной стороны, традиционный для команды грязный чёрный ад, кипящий котёл ненависти и злости. С другой - вокалирование, рвущее все шаблоны привычного и поднявшееся на недосягаемую высоту. Итого имеем по настоящему ШЕДЕВРальный альбом, действительно. Не отрицая безусловной крутости прошлых, этот, бесспорно, воистину ЧТО-ТО!

One of the greatest Black Metal album ever released. Darkthrone worship is still hearable, yet riffs are more chaotic and even psychedelic. Intense drumming. Occult and Satanic lyrics as it should be. But the strongest point of this album is outstanding vocals, especially these insanse shrieks. Just excellent!

For sure more intense. Darkthrone is a classic and will always be interesting (of course more their early releases than later Heavy/Speed). They have shown the path and Katharsis was one of many bands which followed them, but they quickly improved with time and became much better than some mediocre Darkthrone clones.
