Вот тут пишут, что Finntroll закончили запись нового альбома "Nifelvind", выход намечен на начало 2010 на Century Media Records.

А вот тут студио-репорт.

Журналистам уже дали послушать новые песни:
Solsagan,
Den Frusna Muhnen,
Dråp
и
Under Bergets Rot.


Press people were to hear four songs from the upcoming album which so far bears a working title ‘Mot Skoggornas Värld’. The first song we heard, ‘Solsagan’., suggested that the Finnish trolls grew older and more mature. Guitars went gloomier and darker. All in all, the sound brought into mind the latest Ensiferum album and Turisas‘ earthshaking metal battles. Analytical journalist‘s mind started coining new term for the tune – shall we call it ‘troll battle metal’? The next song, ‘Den Frusna Muhnen’., perfectly corresponded with the introductory remark of Finntroll singer Mathias Lilmåns:‘ Now you‘ll hear something totally different‘. The heroic mood of the previous piece was changed by the sounds of something ‘dangerously’ resembling absolutely non-metal string instrument. Song had a very catchy melody, more similar to good old rock tunes. Next came ‘Under Bergets Rot’. which made the brain work again trying to find an appropriate musical definition: is it ‘troll punk‘ ? A banjo covered by fast, somewhat pushy power-chorded electric guitar instrumentation, all together made a very clear melodic line, yet quite simple. Preserving a good part of traditional old-school troll folk, for a wonder, the song creates a gloomy afterworld mood. The last song of the album-to-be, ‘Dråp’. starts with evil laughter and includes the trademark troll melodies. But keeping a good deal of humour, the trolls became less playful: the forest tavern party is over and the Scandinavian monsters are out to deal with their heavy black jobs. The song dies away little by little with echoes of old rollicking feasts and has a totally open ending: you are free to fantasize in which direction the trolls will go next.

Finnish folk metallers FINNTROLL will release their new album, "Nifelvind" (the previously announced title "Mot Skuggornas Vдrld" has apaprently been scrapped), via Century Media Records on the following dates:

они перестали быть троллями. новый вокалист - Bob Dylan какой-то. такой же хмырь с отвратным вокалом.
и все музло их - contemporary folk наискуШнейший. да даже фолка там мало. contemporary fekalka.

2007 -это охр***ый альбом, не потеряли своего фирменного звучания + добавили в мрачности и тяжести!
Правда я все 3 последние альбомы оцениваю на 10/10, если 2007 и их лучший альбом, то совсем на чучуть.
Уверен мне и 2010 понравится! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile4.gif)

Побаиваюсь нового альбома, эксперименты на предшественнике ничего хорошего не принесли. Как бы не усугубилось. Мастерство не пробухаешь, 2007й получше тонн викингофолкового ширпотреба последних лет, но уровня предыдущих работ не достиг.

Вово. УГ в кубе, ткскзть. Что-то похерили они на этом альбоме, что-то эдакое, что выделяло их предыдущие лонгплеи от всех остальных прочих фолькметалов. И да - нынешний вокалист тоже УГ!

никогда не делали УГ. Надеюсь, и не сделают. Нет, не надеюсь - уверен в этом.Все эквилибристы и энсиферумы дружно идут под стол делать своё дело. 2007 - блестящий альбом, злой и угарный, например. Акустический диск - эпическое полотно, которому могут позавидовать всякие Tenhi, Nest и иже с ними. Любимый у меня всё равно 2001, но всё их творчество я дичайше котирую (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif)

Дима, я например, очень люблю Nest, всегда рад Энсиферуму и мило улыбаюсь Эквилибриуму (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) но нет у них тролльского распиз (IMG:style_emoticons/default/12.gif) ства - как в боевиках, так и в лиричных вещах. Они на фоне Финнтроллей смотрятся до невозможности конфетно и пластилиново... достойные группы, но - прямого столкновения не выдерживают (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dwarf-1.gif)
