На ютубе появилась запись (правда, не очень хорошая) новой песни дико котируемых мной Cynic



Песня войдет в новый ЕР, который выйдет в марте-апреле (хотя обещали, что он будет еще в декабре. вот нечестивцы!)
странная песенка - это же аеонспоук чуть менее, чем полностью.
хотя я доволен.

Первое впечатление - избыток симфоники ни к чему. Впрочем, сейчас все этой псевдо-симфоникой грешат, тренд прям целый.
В остальном трек неплохой, отличий от дебютника не так много. Мелодично и даже воздушно, риффы классные

Недавно в космосе пригласили меня ребятки в друзья. Иначе вряд ли обратил внимание.

Однако нисколько не разочарован! Швейцарское качество таково, что даже "пискля" на вокале вполне себе катит.

DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA работают над новым материалом

Шведская группа DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA занята написанием материала для нового альбома, выход которого намечен на 2011 год. "Новый альбом идет медленно, но верно. У нас уже есть 11 песен, готовых в разной степени и мы продолжаем работать. Можем уже назвать несколько рабочих названий: 'Dнa De Los Muertos', 'Voodoo, Mon Amour!' и 'Aurora'. Ожидайте турецкий поп, смешанный с блэком и хором китайских мальчиков, ну и другие интересные штучки. Мы надеемся закончить запись весной 2011".

Blabbermouth reports that Periphery are currently working on an EP, which is almost finished, and on material for their next full-length album. Guitarist and songwriter Misha 'Bulb' Mansoor said:

"I am also really happy to announce that Periphery is well into the writing process for our upcoming EP. We have tracked most of the instrumentation and vocals and are making final tweaks on everything but you guys are in for a treat. There will be some re-tweaked material, some rare material and some brand new material on it so there will be something for everyone.

We have also been working on material for our second full-length now, so that we can have as much time to refine it before we record the final product. Our goal with our music is to cover as much ground as possible while staying true to our sound, and hopefully evolve from previous work all at once. It's a tall order but a fun challenge nonetheless, and we are doing our best to ensure that the new material will fulfill that goal."

Hey just wanted to stop in and give a few updates on the status of the band.
First and most important we are alive and well as a band, let's make that clear. The Progpower Show in September was a lot of fun for us and really kickstarted the band collectively due to our amazing fans and friends who made it out to Atlanta and pumped us up with such overwhelming support!
Things are going well with the writing process for our next disc but we are not rushing it at all. We are really enjoying this time exploring new ideas and revisiting some old ones as well. We are well into this now and are very excited about the new material so far.

Шведы OPETH забронировали на 31 января 2011 года студийное время в Atlantis studios в Стокгольме. Десятый альбом группы должен выйти следующей осенью на Roadrunner Records. Jens Bogren (SOILWORK, KATATONIA, PARADISE LOST, BLOODBATH) запишет это пластинку, а сведение выполнит Steven Wilson из PORCUPINE TREE.

Предыдущий альбом коллектива "Watershed" вышел в 2008 году и попал на 23 место в чартах Billboard.

«Сообщаем об изменениях в составе группы этой зимой.

После долгих самокопаний и дискуссий CYNIC прощаются с басистом Robin’ом Zielhorst’ом и гитаристом Tymon’ом Kruidenier’ом. Это решение было взаимным, с большим уважением друг к другу и к работе, которой мы занимались в течение прошедших 2—3-х лет.

Существующие логистические проблемы в поддержании деятельности группы, которая наполовину базируется в Нидерландах, а вторая половина находится в США (барабанщик Sean Reinert и гитарист Paul Masvidal живут в Калифорнии), стали мешать работе коллектива.

Подготовительная стадия работы над следующим релизом CYNIC уже началась, и похоже, что сейчас самое подходящее время, чтобы определиться, какой будет следующая глава в истории группы.

Новый релиз CYNIC выйдет летом 2011-го года на лейбле Season of Mist».

Гитарист-вокалист Paul Masvidal заявил следующее: «Tymon и Robin отличные парни, которые сделали всё возможное, чтобы CYNIC вернулись к гастролям и отправились в тур в поддержку “Traced In Air”. В ближайшие планы группы входят продолжение сочинения материала и предварительная работа над новым альбомом. Музыканты также заново сводят свой классический альбом "Focus", чтобы переиздать его.

Tymon и Robin, кстати, будут работать над новым материалом Exivious, что тоже радует.

CYNIC расстались с басистом Robin Zielhorst и гитаристом Tymon Kruidenier. Оба музыканта пришли в группу в 2008 году и вместе с ними был записан "ре-юнион" альбом "Traced In Air", вышедший в позапрошлом году. Robin и Tymon голландцы, и лидер коллектива Paul Masvidal решил, что CYNIC больше не может существовать как мультинациональная команда. Летом 2011 года на Season Of Mist должен выйти новый альбом группы, а ситуация, когда половина коллектива находится за океаном, не способствует его быстрому завершению.

Ушедшие музыканты продолжают работу в своей группе EXIVIOUS.

Оставшиеся музыканты CYNIC Sean Reinert и Paul Masvidal работают над новыми песнями в Калифорнии.

Danish progressive metallers Infinity Overture return with their second album ”The Infinite Overture pt.1”. Led by the superb guitar and compositional skills of Neils Vejlyt, the band have taken a step away from the symphonic metal slant of their debut to mark the start of altogether darker and more distinctive journey with enhanced progressive elements blended with gothic textures.

The listener will also notice the new album being more guitar driven due to the reduction of symphonic elements. The new material also showcases the virtuoso side of the band making great use of dynamically rich music wrapped around irresistible vocal melodies. Vejlyt must be applauded for managing to combine all these elements whilst still ensuring the song remains the main priority and these are 9 compelling compositions.

As a result of the slight change of musical direction Vejlyt saw fit to change the band line-up to best bring out the new music and also ensure the calibre of musicianship was high enough to perform the new material live.

New female vocalist Kimmie Tenna Nielsen is the most major change, with her moving and powerful voice driving on the new compositions, her performance is set to make her an upcoming talent in the metal world. Bassist Bernardo Fesch has brought awesome bass groves to the compositions whilst drummer Jakob Vand has adds his grand technical skills and ideas to the band making for a very exciting rhythm section.

Niels Vejlyt also secured the services of two of his favourite vocalists to perform some guest spots on the new release – namely Fabio Lione (Rhapsody Of Fire) and Amanda Somerville (Epica, Kamelot etc). Niels describes this as, ”An honour to have such greats on the songs”.

In addition to these two household names are a number of other guest backing vocalists all adding further depth to the compositions.

Production guru Sascha Paeth (Edguy, Rhapsody of Fire, Kamelot) once again oversaw the mix and master with the outcome being another full and rich sounding release from Infinity Overture.

MIKE PORTNOY Working On New Project With SYMPHONY X Singer! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hmm.gif)

Portnoy recently began work on a new project with guitarist Steve Morse (DEEP PURPLE, DIXIE DREGS), multi-instrumentalist Neal Morse (TRANSATLANTIC, SPOCK'S BEARD), bassist Dave LaRue (DIXIE DREGS) and vocalist Casey McPherson (ALPHA REV, ENDOCHINE). The group's debut album is tentatively due later in the year.

На вопрос о том, на какой стадии находится запись диска, Аллен ответил: "Мы занимаемся пост-продукцией, то есть, альбом почти готов. В настоящий момент мы заканчиваем сведение и вот-вот отдадим запись на мастеринг, так что альбом должен быть готов к выпуску через несколько месяцев – определенно в первом квартале 2011 года. У нас уже готово все оформление, на следующей неделе мы проведем фотосессию и все такое. Так что дело движется к релизу".
