В составе Exodus это был, на мой взгляд, лучший вокалист. Да и играли они с ним интереснее.

Если бы злая судьба распорядилась иначе, то не Metallica занимала бы пьедестал лидера, и не "Kill'Em All" стал путеводной звездой для последующих созидателей трэш-металла 80-х. Ибо группа Exodus ведет свое начало с далекого 1981-го года, когда пресловутой "Металлики" еще и в помине не было. И играл в те годы в составе Exodus славный гитарист Кирк Хэммет. Хэтфилду с Ульрихом удалось переманить Хэммета в свои ряды, и во что все это вылилось, мы все прекрасно знаем. Фортуна улыбнулась металликовцам, и группа выстрельнула свой дебютный альбом в 1983-м году, моментально попав в разряд культовых коллективов нарождающейся эпохи трэша. В том же году и Exodus, наконец-то, подготовили к выпуску свой дебютный релиз, выпущенный ограниченным тиражом в США. Но по различным причинам полноценный выход "A Lesson In Violence" (а тогда предполагалось именно так назвать альбом) состоялся лишь двумя годами позже, когда Metallica, Slayer и другие команды уже имели по одному, а то и по два номерных альбома. Таким образом, выпущенный в 1985-м году "Bonded By Blood" стал лишь просто очередным хорошим трэш-альбомом, уже не претендуя на первенство и оригинальность.

Можно долго обсуждать достоинства или недостатки "Bonded By Blood", но нет нужды говорить о том, что это стопроцентная классика жанра, ведь многие группы конца 80-х равнялись на этот релиз, пытаясь скопировать скоростные и злобные запилы Гари Холта и Рика Ханольта, а вокалисты всех мастей стремились выдавать такие же истеричные завывания, которыми славился легендарный Пол Балофф (R.I.P.).

Непревзойденный самими же музыкантами шедевр мирового уровня! Хотя на деле это ведь не чистый трэш, а скорее трэш/спид метал. Но не суть в терминах — этот альбом убивает меня наповал при каждом прослушивании. Один из лучших альбомов в жанре и мой самый любимый у команды. И все это несмотря на то что в нескольких номерах ритмы ну ооочень схожи, удовольствия это не убавляет. Особо нравятся A lesson In Violence и Metal Command (IMG:style_emoticons/default/20.gif) , не очень — длинная Deliver Us To Evil. Вот уж тот редкий случай, когда ничего лучше дебютника коллектив не может создать (ИМХО). 10+/10

Да и не надо никакой трэш-ярости. Я лично любитель нестандартного трэша (а это как раз тот случай). В своё время Bonded By Blood был бомбой.
