ну а в целом тут скорее даже уместно назвать не группы и альбомы а эпоху и временной отрезок для мелодик дэта/дум метала/готик метала это период с 1994 по 1998 все группы мои любимые именно в этот отрезок наваяли свои лучшие альбомы.

это мост от death metal к melodic death metal.

Довольно занятно играли в 2000-х. Потом стали сильно перебарщивать с технично/изворотами, из-за чего стали сложнее восприниматься.

ну ответ для меня очевиден: во-первых, вокалист вылез из мазафаки, которую тру-металисты дико презирают и считают за антимузыку, позор и т.д.
во-вторых, у DD есть элементы грува, который также принимается за отрицательное явление в тяже

по той же причине (второй) не котируются на форуме мировые группы, такие как: Meshuggah, Gojira и те же лэмбы
