Великолепный прогрессив со всеми присущими данному стилю атрибутами - очень качественным и сильным чистым вокалом, высокопрофессиональными объёмно-эпичными клавишными, и вообще, отменным уровнем исполнительского мастерства, - плюс с эффектным дополнением в виде энергичных пауэр-включений. Необходимо уточнить, что пауэр здесь - лишь вспомогательное средство, он не равноправен прогрессиву (как можно было бы подумать изначально), последнего явно больше. Послушав альбом, могу сказать: видимо, Pagan's Mind - лучший прогрессивный коллектив из Норвегии, страны, где, как известно, преобладают другие металл-стили. Довольно смело и уверенно в композиторском отношении играет команда, применяя размашистые проговые гитарные рифы - вообще, работа гитариста на протяжении всего альбома выше всяких похвал, - симпатично смотрится группа и в техническом плане - лично меня особенно порадовала игра драммера. На фоне общего крепкого уровня прогрессив-материала смотрятся ярче и выделяются несколько номеров, где норвежцы давят на "педаль" пауэра - включение скорости и пауэр-драйва заметно оживляет картину. Я имею ввиду такие треки, как Atomic Firelight (свежо и напористо), Alien Kamikaze (самая металл-драйвовая, самая энергичная и самая, пожалуй, интересная вещь на альбоме) и Spirit Starcruiser (очень хорош гитарный риф). С другой стороны, есть пара-тройка номеров - таких, как Painted Skies, например, - которые звучат академичнее и меланхоличнее, чересчур клавишноориентированно. Всего же 11 композиций God's Equation укладываются ровно в час времени - как будто специально отсчитывали по секундомеру. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Ограниченный вариант издания альбома включает в себя также 6 бонус-треков (в основном, демо группы 2001-го года), а вариант релиза, выпущенный для Японии, содержит 12-й трек Forever Seeking. И последнее: существуют два варианта обложки - один с распущенными волосами и с ОБНАЖЁННОЙ грудью девушки, а другой с более длинными волосами, ЗАКРЫВАЮЩИМИ большую часть груди.
