SUICIDE SILENCE в настоящий момент заняты сведением нового альбома "The Black Crown", предварительный выход которого намечен на июль на лейбле Century Media Records. На церемонии вручения Revolver Golden Gods Awards вокалист Mitch Lucker сказал о новом диске следующее:

"'The Black Crown' - это наша самая зрелая, наиболее грамотно спродюсированная и хорошо написанная как группой работа. Людям стоят прийти и посмотреть, как мы будем играть эти песни в живую или купить альбом тогда, когда он выйдет!"

Он также сообщил, что 'The Black Crown' станет третьим и последним альбомом для Century Media, после чего коллектив станет свободными агентами.

1 ноября 2012 года в аварии с участием мотоцикла погиб вокалист группы Митч Лакер. В 6:17 по местному времени его признали мертвым
