well,ossein is particularly not what I'm looking for,but a nice band indeed. i liked their debut stuff, the rest is too experimental and weird for the sort of person i am.

a forest of stars, fen, krallice, weakling (lol, they were founders of style), enmerkar and skogyr i already have.
kermania was excellent,but it has nothing to do with pacifism and mild black metal.

gallowbraid are making a record now, I'll see if i manage to grab it first.

Recommended bands: Stvor (Czech Republic) and Bergthron (Germany), although they're not from Canada or USA, these are good bands with lyrics themes about Nature.

How about the Bindrune artists? I'm pretty partial to Blood of the Black Owl's A Feral Spirit and Celestiial's Desolate North. Both are much more on the doom side, but they embody the Cascadian spirit well. Nechochwen are good, too.

There might be some artists in the Eternal Warfare distro that would suit you.
