Музыкальный материал альбома крут - этакий образец raw orthodox true black metal, всё по понятиям канонам, вот только сколько ни слушаю, не перестаю недоумевать насчёт разницы в качестве записи первой и второй половин альбома - сначала всё прекрасно, потом же с Raping Human Dignity начинается какая-то гаражная демо-запись. В чём фишка, интересно?

I've listened a lot of stuff, but still to me their music sounds very special. Both old and new period. And SMRC was really a groundbreaking album. So I don't see anything overrated about them.
And what's wrong with this guy? He created some great projects and releases a lot of awesome music through his labels. Also if you'll read some interviews with him, you'll see that he's quite smart and interesting person.

Истоки DSO - сутевой Black Metal по классическим лекалам, но сотворенный со вкусом и умело. То что одни выкорячивают из себя десятилетиями, здесь звучит, словно поток вдохновения. Даже простыми формами надо уметь пользоваться уместно, у DSO все путём с музыкальным мышлением было и есть.

На этом релизе больше всего нравится вторая половина с Disciples Of The Ultimate Void. По записи образцовая "сырость", но материал мощный. Завораживает.

До феномена здесь ещё далековато, но дебют крепкий и серьезная заявка о себе. В какие-то годы только первые два полноформата и слушал. Прогрессивный авангард догнал чуть позже.

Very raw Black Metal in the vein of Darkthrone. Maybe not very original, but sounds devilish and inhumane. Probably nobody has known at that time that Deathspell Omega will become the masters of avantgarde Black Metal. It's difficult to say which period of DSO is better, cause both are great. The latter avantgarde one is more interesting, but an era of Shaxul is very noteworthy as well. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/true_black.gif)

Both periods are interesting for sure, but for the moment I've been always picking the older one.

Альбом что надо! Но, вторая половина альбома почему-то "проваливается" в звучании куда-то в унитаз и почти ничего не разобрать. Это так у всех или у меня какая-то версия мутная и надо поискать нормальную?

Пришлось "клепать" альбом из двух релизов. Отдельно брать первое демо и выдергивать треки оттуда. На отдельной демке звук лучше, кстати. И тогда можно более-менее нормально слушать целиком.
