Обсуждение последнего релиза группы навело на мысли об освежении в памяти истоков.

Этот альбом прост настолько же насколько и зол. В недавнем интервью МкМ вещал, что вокал писал с одного дубля и чуть ли не на ходу сочинял слова. Думаю, что и инструменты писали "как бог на душу положит", в любом случае, сказали все, что могли и все, что хотели.

Получился примитивный, сырой и яростный черный метал. Нойзовые вставки между треками подбавляют угля в топку.

На мой взгляд, из этого музыкального материала можно было выжать "больше ада" с точки зрения технической реализации, саунд действительно местами рассыпается и гитары не всегда строят. В этом, конечно, есть свой колорит, но я клоню к тому, что некоторая работы над звуком на следующих альбома помогла группе себя раскрыть.

Как дебют - пластинка хороша, группа заявила о себе и установила планку, отталкиваясь от которой стала действительно большой и знаковой группой для жанра.

Здесь есть искра, пламя которой во всю силу полыхнуло уже к выходу Blood Libels.
