Вообще не понял я этого альбома. Хоть и пишут,что это лучший.
Да прогово да нестандартно. Но все как-то легко так и чересчур
мелодично.

May 30, 2021 Voivod presents for the first time ever, the album Nothingface played live in-studio! This indeed is a very special event as the band has never played some of the songs live and certainly not the whole groundbreaking album! They are working hard to prepare and present this multi-camera, multi-track show. Anyone who witnessed their last streaming event knows the audio/video is amazing. Ticket holders will also receive a discount code for exclusive Voivod merch and a pass to a live after-party with the band with special guest hosts.

Канадцы никогда не позиционировали себя как группа чистого трэша. Просто играли так, как им было удобно. Тем не менее, когда рецензию на альбом написАли даже в журнале "Браво", стало ясно, что Voivod вышли на уровень металлического мэйнстрима. Сыграв Astronomy Domine они убили двух зайцев: обратили внимание молодежи на ранние работы PF, и одновременно показали некий внутренний ориентир. Хотя, надо отметить, что любая из песен Nothingface, пусть даже это Inner Combustion, звучит более "наркомански", чем психоделический боевик Барретта. Что касается вокала, то он именно в таком виде больше подходит сыгранным номерам, а сами они, по сравнению с предыдущими работами, обрели некоторую завершенность, отточенность и прогнозируемость. Лично для меня Voivod именно в этом альбоме обрели некие аналогии с King Crimson "второго пришествия": при минимуме инструментов они обрели максимум свободы и представили максимум решений.
