Никаких открытий и ничего сколько-нибудь неожиданного для себя я от музыки малоизвестной хорватской группы, честно говоря, совсем не ждал. И, чёрт возьми, ошибался! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Если тоскливое-претоскливое интро и первая полноценная композиция The Passage Back To Life (стандартная для дэтового дума середины 90-х, с скрипкой и целиком с девичьим вокалом), действительно, не особо впечатляют (хотя и неплохо), то 3-й номер релиза Thorn Of The Dead Flower - это уже великолепная штука! Интересные дэт/думовые навороты, классное нежное пение девушки, печальная скрипка - всё просто супер! Само главное, конечно, мелодия трогает и цепляет! А этот печальный альянс скрипки и рифов - оказывается, ноу-хау хорватов, и он вполне жизнеспоспособен! Это печальное звучание скрипки слегка напомнило мне Celestial Season-93 и отчасти Cantar-03. Drowning In My Dreams - очень камерный инструментал, клавишный, очень печальный. Максимально печальна и композиция Lay Down Alone: здесь уже подтягивается к вокальным делам и мужской гроул, образуя классическую пару "красавица + чудовище". Да, пара классическая, но вовсе не стандартная - "красавица" всё время тянет одеяло на себя, и поэтому "чудовище" начинает рычать, лишь когда замерзает. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Но я не против такого оборота - голос у девушки нежный и специфический, петь она умеет. White Chains - снова великолепный дэт-дум, захватывающие изобретательные рифы... пожалуй, здесь больше рычит парень, а девушка зачастую лишь подвывает (хорошо подвывать тоже надо уметь (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) ). Заключительная Tears - крайне убаюкивающая вещь, почти колыбельная. Да, и надо отметить, что большинство номеров - весьма продолжительного времени звучания: в 8.5 - 9.5 минут. Молодцы хорваты, очень хорошая группа! 8.5/10
