Давайте определим чьи сегодня шишки в лесу под названием techno-death metal.
Первая тройка моих кандидатов выглядит так:

Sceptic
Symbyosis

UPD. А вообще дело обстоит так:

Лучший альбом 2014 года в жанре technical / progressive death. ФИНАЛ

Альбом 2015 года в жанре technical / progressive death. Финал

извините, что в теме не пишу - пока в ауте, вот такая музыкальная ремиссия, ничего сообразить не могу целсотно, только отрывками да урывками (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif)
ну а вообще:
в 2006-ом не забывам про Trepalium и россиянских Rest In Pain (хотя они значительно ближе к прог-дэтхЪу сыграли)
в 2007 - Man Must Die (в 2004 у них тоже хороший альбом, но довольно стандартный) и Orgone (хз, отводить ли их в топ)
в 2008 - Juggernaut, слабавших modern technical death/thrash (про модерн - шутка)

плюс предлагаю к рассмотрению (не обязательно в этой теме) релиз Scamp - Mirror Faced Mentality, сыгравших technical industrial thrash/death (IMG:style_emoticons/default/crazy.gif)

плюс не обращаю внимание на Кёнигсбергских Adherent - gothic technical death metal (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) (да не, там просто вставки красивого женского вокала)

И к вечеру перелью Curdle My Blood - любопытная вещь, дэтхЪ на стыке с "техникал" и "прогрессив", только очень цельно и ненапряжно.

Одно время очень увлекался данным направлением, в последнее время слушаю не так много техно-дэта. В 2009 году, пока лучший альбом для меня Obscura "Cosmogenesis", худший - увы, новый Pestilence. Пользуясь случаем, хотел бы поинтересоваться, что послушать в духе Sadist "Sadist", либо Alchemist "Lunasphere"? Мелодичность, интересные музыкальные решения, атмосферность приветствуются:) Заранее благодарен!

Не знаю.. Мне последний Alchemist (который Tripsis) тоже очень понравился...

в общем-то да, а ещё почти каждый третий прог-дэтхЪовый релиз за последние 5 лет - примерный ответ на запрос.
плюс ещё всякие мелодик/прогрессив дэтхЪовые (иногда - номинально дэтхЪ) вещи: от Sculptured (труЪ - в некотором свете) до тех же Psychostatus и Ryashon.

Спасибо за советы, послушал Kalisia. Честно говоря не понравилось - изобилие электроники, затянутость материала и т.п. Также обратился к французам Dungortheb, альбом "Waiting For Silence". По нескольким прослушиваниям судить рано, но пока очень напоминает бездушную музыку Illogicist. Техничность, соло, все атрибуты есть, но не запоминается совершенно, слишком механическая музыка, эмоций крайне мало.
