Удивительно, у одного (если не самого) из лучших альбомов группы в 21-м веке — и почти нет комментариев.

Полная реабилитация за некоторый спад на прошлом альбоме. Снова вагон и маленькая тележка хитов, все музыканты в прекрасной форме, бронепоезд летит, гудит, громыхает и грозно поводит орудийными башнями — без передышки до Flesh & Blood, ну так и подзаправиться тоже надо. Human Metal назову единственной сомнительной вещью, а концовка не менее ударна, чем начало, в том числе одна из моих любимых песен группы Wake the Nightmares — правда, смысла участия в ней Дериса я так и не понял. Но пусть будет, жалко, что ли. Death Is on It's Way — привет из прошлых демок.

Более чем на десять лет этот альбом станет последним светлым (на самом-то деле, обжигающе-ярким) пятном в дискографии группы, хотя отдельные песни у них ещё будут ого-го.

Ну, у меня это любимый альбом вообще в дискографии группы. Не уверен насчет десятки, но материал крут. Особенно Гуманный Металл.

Вот я например очень Rage люблю и уважаю. Но! Период с беларусским балалаечником мне не зашёл.
От альбома к альбому я всё время ждал, когда его Пиви попрёт...
Что не умаляет конечно того, что хитов понаписали изрядно. Особенно учитывая, что балалаечник был автором большинства из них.
Такой вот парадокс.

Не люблю в последнее время длинные альбомы. Формат виниловой пластинки - самое то. И в общем итоге по этому критерию альбом Rage вполне меня устроил. Как и в плане продолжительности песен - длинных и нудных нет. Хотя гораздо важнее, что в большинстве своём эти песни обладают отличными мелодиями, лихо сыграны, отлично записаны и не страдают в плане инструментовок перетягиванием одеяла на себя (это я про соло Смольского): все прямо очень в тему, без излишних пространных музицирований. Прям луч света в тёмном пауэрном царстве. Ну, Secrets in a weird world здесь выше прочих засчет фортепиано, и где-то на подходе к ней Human metal, Great old Ones, Defenders of the ancient Life и двоечка Fallig from Grace.
