Man... this looks like it should be good, with lots of longer songs, the fantasy themes and the Rhapsody-esque cover, but it just falls flat. The singer is very boring and average, and the music just doesn't develop into anything special like the song lengths and titles would lead you to believe.

I guess it's not bad for a debut, but it is heavily trapped in all the power metal cliches, and the end result is something like watered-down version of Blind Guardian, that fails at creating that "Epic" atmosphere; which bands like Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Pathfinder, and Thy Majestie create with ease.

И правда - вроде бы и неплохо всё,вроде бы всё на месте,но чего-то не хватает.После пары прослушиваний в голове осталась разве что мелодия из бонусной баллады (тут её нету).Не за что уху зацепиться.Так что да,до Blind Guardian ещё ой как далеко...Даже до самых ранних.

Послушал этих подражателей Blind Guardian - музыка в целом приятная, вроде все на уровне, но хитов нет совсем. С БГ периода 88-95 даже и рядом не стояло..

Замечательная помпезность, умные и интересные мелодии, отличные гитарные соло, впечатляющая атмосферность, мощный (хотя и чуть резковато-грубоватый вокал) - всё на месте, чтобы сказать, что полку Эльфов и Драконов прибыло и сильных, а не импотентно-корчащихся. Заметный релиз. Продолжительность тоже впечатляет. В копилку года. Любителям направления строго рекомендуется!

Здесь с ранними Blind Guardian никто и не сравнивает. Речь идет об унылых современных. С уходом Thomen Stauch братство кольца развалилось и магия была утеряна

Нет-нет, мои ожидания явно не оправдались. Увидев 41 спасибо на что-то из разряда power/epic... я понадеялся на что-то очешуенное) а получилось в итоге всё стандартно. Да, альбом хороший, интересный, послушать можно разок-другой, но не более.
