Ну вроде как heavy metal но более быстрый и мелодичный.Это в двух словах.Родоначальниками считаются Helloween (в Германии).Хотя на мой взгляд Helloween на заре своей деятельности играли этакий гибрид speed/thrash/ и еще чегото/metal.
