Так у вышло, что прошлый альбом «Ghosts» австралийской исполнительницы Саманты Кемпстер, в рамках проекта под названием Promethean Misery я слушал в прошлом, 2018 году, хотя сам альбом вышел годом ранее. И вот теперь самый свежий релиз я снова слушаю с опозданием, ведь сам опус вышел как раз в 2018 году. Просто всё не доходили руки, а точнее уши, до него. Но к выходу свежего материала я таки решил освоить наконец и крайний полноформат. Так сказать на случай выхода в этом году нового альбома, чтоб уж его точно не откладывать в долгий ящик.
В плане содержания релиза изменилось не так уж и много, но даже если вы слушали дебютную работу, то мимо этой проходить не рекомендую. Изменения постигли в первую очередь вокал, но не самой исполнительницы, с ним все отлично, как и раньше, а изредка поддерживающий ее гроул – его более нет. Здесь все эфирное время отведено под пронзительный вокал самой Саманты и не могу сказать, что я расстроен этим фактом. Но стало больше именно металической составляющей, ибо предшественник все же смотрел больше в сторону нео-классики, чем в сторону дума, а тут все изменилось. Много монотонных гитар, вокал тоже достаточно гипнотический, а местами даже с претензией на психодел, как например в треке «Hell's Massacre». Но в то же время как по мне звук стал глуше, а от этого немного потерял альбом в яркости по сравнению с первенцем.
Но несмотря на все это данный проект это таки свежий взгляд на очень интересный стиль и хотелось бы почаще слышать такие вариации. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/9.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/9.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/9.gif)
