альбом годный, альбом хороший, альбом охнный. только вот ощущение этого вряд ли придет после одной прослушки. нужно как-минимум раза 3-4 прокрутить внимательно слушая. качество записи вполне приличное, все инстументы можно разобрать/услышать.

сразу стоит оговориться, любителям SotS и прочего мдм-трэша, как и модерна вообще, альбом не попрет, скорее всего.

После первых прослушиваний было испытано определенное чувство досады. В глубине души хотелось, чтобы тема смешения традиционного death metal и скрипок была продолжена и углублена, т.е. по сути At The Gates могли спокойно двигаться в сторону prog-death. Вышло немного не так. Талант сочинять классные мелодичные, но при том – зверски тяжелые и достаточно скоростные песни остался (послушать тут продолжительную, с множеством гитарных партий Primal Breath, одну из лучших песен альбома Raped By The Light Of Christ или последующую ей The Break Of Autumn, и все вопросы в этом вопросе сразу отпадут). Его развитие привело к записи мелодэтового материала, на тот момент – незнакомого и нового, сейчас – затертого до дыр. Хотя With Fear I Kiss… не может оказаться погребенным тоннами продукции подобного плана, поскольку значительно, многократно, на несколько порядков интереснее ее.

Злобный, неотёсанный, сырой и нескладный альбом, сочащийся кровоподтёками и сверкающий рубцами тут и там на местах, где спешащей, но уверенной рукой чуть кривовато были пришиты его разлапистые части; сыгранный с остервенением, на пределе здравого ума и с истовым вдохновением. В общем, хороший альбом.
