Анектоды про эльфов и драконов начались примерно отсюда, где-то в районе этой пластинки Rhapsody приобрели действительно широкую известность. И, соответственно, на них начали посматривать другие группы; всё дошло до того, что драконы и всё остальное стало чем-то вроде клише (хотя неоднократно говорилось, что доля "драконов и всего остального" в жанре <5%). Но пинали и пинают эту пластинку в основном те, кто послушал не тот альбом не той группы не того жанра. Потому что она чертовски хороша (недаром, собственно, эту самую известность группе принесла, вместе с предыдущим Dawn of Victory). Альбом по своему месту в дискографии примерно аналогичен Warriors of the World Manowar — после него началось симфоническое пережёвывание и непонятно что. С той разницей, что Manowar одумались после однократного эксперимента, а Rhapsody жуют до сих пор, с большим или меньшим успехом, уже в двух экземплярах. Здесь же в последний раз можно услышать: по минмуму болтовни и интерлюдий, по максимуму толковых симфонических аранжировок, не переходящих грань утомительности и ненужности, полный мешок хитов и интересных решений. Песни разнообразны и в дальнейшем послужили ориентирами для самих Rhapsody в написании будущих композиций (типажи "брутальный мрачный трек", "итальянская баллада", "масштабный эпик" и так далее были не раз и не два использованы в дальнейшем). The Pride of the Tyrant, кстати — один из главных хитов группы. Ну и Gagroyles очень хороша, хоть концовка там и слегка подкачала, но в остальном — интересно и толково, никакой затянутости практически не ощущается. Бонус Rise from the Sea of Flames отлично дополянет удачную общую картину — боевой, быстрый и яркий номер.
