Войдя в историю первыми двумя работами французы заслужили право делать все, что угодно (что они и доказали в 1996 :-) ), но выше головы не прыгнешь. Да и так же не прыгнешь тоже. Unholy Black Splendor был неплохим, следующий похуже, этот - уныл. Да, звук есть, кора и грува нет, но не тОркает.

В целом альбом хорош, но без изюминки, как выше выразились - "не торкает". Что, в принципе, для французов уже хорошо, крайне редко из их стана что-то хорошее выходит.

Это правда, подзажрались.

Для меня данный альбом очень схож по восприятию с Graceless 2020го, блин да у них даже названия похожи. Только нидерландцы якабы очень сильно тяготеют к думу, а сабж к трэшу. Ну и стилистически может они разные, но:
- олдовый олд
- почти примитивный
- средний темп
- убойнейший жирнючий звучара
- после полутора прослушек не торкнуло, а потом каааак торкнуло

В общем, ничего нового ребята не делают, просто очень приятный олд.

Слушаю олдскульный Mercyless - The Mother Of All Plagues (2020) и понимаю, что вроде бы всё это 1000 раз раньше сыграно ими и многими другими, но всё равно чертовски приятно ложится на слух, и кайф есть, и каверы к месту.
Очень точно и профессионально французы подобрали ключи к моему удовольствию. Хакнули черепную коробку.
