Какой-то серый материал, под стать цветовой гамме оформления. Кроме "Eternal Return Of the Sun Wheel" вообще ни за что не зацепился, но надо будет переслушать.
Зацензуренный впечатлительными альбом про Дивизию Викингов был сильнее.

From a review of the last album: "The previous albums was a good example of traditional and raw Black Metal, with lyrics about Satan, death and depression. Now Petri changed the mood, turning decisively into NSBM, both about the themes and the sound."

Впечатления двоякие и не сильно положительные. После крутейших "Гимнов" и "Дивизии" данный альбом воспринимается чуть более блекло по общему настроению чем ранние работы. Но здесь может быть и определенная интрига, альбому обязательно нужно дать второй и последующие шансы. Попытаться его расслушать и вникнуть в него. К небольшому сожалению слишком много в последнее время именитых групп выпускают свои полноформаты. Все интересующие не успеваешь как следует послушать и понять. Количество уже давно убивает качество, но селекционировать музыку по своему здорово!

Давно я его не слушал или просто не запомнились последней декады релизы. Нормальная дарктроноворшипная жужжалка с подобающим саундом. Мне по нраву.
Идейные моменты затрагивать не интересно в данном случае.

То, что в этом альбоме могло показаться блеклым, серым и т.д., я воспринимал и воспринимаю именно как часть общей картины, созданной финном на Awakening Of Nordic Storm. Композиции, наполненные этими протяжными тусклыми, блеклыми мелодиями, эти жужжащие риффы, от которых веет холодом безжизненности и отчужденности, кое-где торжественное клавишное обрамление, общее плавное течение альбома, без резких всплесков и ярких хитовых моментов, - всё это позволяет слушателю ощутить себя неким визионером, погрузиться в атмосферу отрешенности от мира, в некий обскурный сюрреализм, если так можно выразиться.
Такое галлюциногенное погружение, на мой взгляд, присуще исключительно BM (это касается метала, а dark ambient, industrial и т.д. мы не рассматриваем) и является одной из ценнейших его особенностей. В Awakening Of Nordic Storm всё это есть, и, возвращаясь к "серости и тусклости", этот альбом именно таким и задумывался и должен быть.
