а) вступительная инструменталка Tears of Paganism заменена на Зимні сни

С одной стороны, мозг постоянно пытается сравнивать это с уже легендарной и заезженной прошлой записью из 90-х, с тем звуком и музыкой - что с хтонично звучащей Morbid Noizz'овской кассетой, что с СД изданиями 2004 года или шикарным детальным ремастером от Грэга Чендлера, точно одёргивая назад - "не так, это звучало вот так!"
Но с другой стороны, как меня прёт эта перезапись! Да, это снова Мортумы - всё те же, офигенные, драйвовые, яркие, звучащие пусть и не так, как прежде - но какие они есть сейчас.

Надо будет тряхануть копилочку, и заиметь этот компакт в твёрдом виде. Однозначно он того стоит.

Забавно получилось, группа не только перезаписала культовое демо... но и как бы пересочинила. Или правильнее сказать - художественно переработала.
Где-то в старых интервью упоминалось, что типа тексты утрачены, поэтому не печатались в буклетах многочисленных переизданий. Сейчас, стало быть, или нашлись, или пришлось взять волю в кулак и написать новые. Аранжировки тоже перелопатили - стало значительно богаче. В целом, старое доброе демо 1996 года выглядело весьма убедительно и свой культовый статус обрело не на пустом месте. Уверен, перезапись тоже получит порцию слушательских оваций, но таким культурным феноменом точно не станет.

Нет, тогда видимо ложили на правообладание, а теперь группа относится к этим вещам серьёзнее. Вон - ни один из каверов дисковой серии 2004 года на WASP, Slayer и Моторов так и не был с тех пор переиздан на новых релизах. Видимо "это жжж неспроста!"

Мне кажется, тут скорее выпускающая компания должна к таким вещам серьёзно относиться. Записать-то любой кавер кто угодно право имеет.

А я про отсутствие этого кавера на этой версии демо.
И офканалы сообщают что именно из-за авторства ее не включили в это издание:

Потому что там запись похерена.
Везде срез по частотам на 16 КгЦ сразу на дисках, видимо сконвертили с mp3 в низком битрейте.

"...And Winter Becomes" переделали и теперь она не отсылает к "Non Serviam" от Rotting Christ. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Кстати, "...And Winter Becomes" – с моей точки зрения, лучшая их композиция.
