While the previous album was very melodic, this one has some dissonances. It sounds interesting or at least much better than their previous album.

Многовато лишнего, но несколько отличных соляков присутствуют - в конце 1-го и 6-го треков и в начале 4-го. В-общем тоже показалось, что альбом по-вменяемее предыдущего - после первых двух заходов желание расслушивать дальше осталось.

Как по лекалам с трех последних полноформатов. Есть 1-2 примечательных трека (в данном конкретном случае это Satan - Exaltation of Unbeing и Hecate - Queen of the Crossroads). А так, в стандартный хронометраж греки постарались вложить столько оккультизма и духовности что слушается это очень тяжело, да к концу просто надоедает. Хотя можно дать этому альбому еще шанс, но потом.

Хорошо, душевно. С красивыми соляками и завываниями. Хронометраж оптимальный, надоесть не успевает, хотя есть пару моментов нудноватых. Что характерно, самые длинные песни являются лучшими.

Ахеронтас настолько регулярно штампует альбомы, что они давно слились в монотонную кашу. Скорее всего через какое-то время и сабж постигнет та же участь, но по свежим впечатлениям альбом показался весьма интересным, концептуальным и разнообразным.

Acherontas always had a problem with song writing and song progression imho. They are good musicians but the songs and melodies that stick in your head can be counted on one hand...which is crazy in spite of their many releases. I think they use a lot of filler riffs where they don't really have a creative direction they want to go in. They do have good parts in their songs, but they last very short, then comes a progression into a filler riff, and then they try to build up a new interresting part and then filler riff again and so on.

That happens like 4, 5 times per song...and that makes it so hard to for me to say "I'am convinced, this is great stuff". Some parts are great, but never whole songs for some reason. And needless to say nothing sticks in your head even after repeatedly listening.
I think overall their music works best if they have a clear direction with a more minimalistic approach to songwriting. Songs like "Conjuration of the Five Negatives" were great. simple but great. The riffs of that song still comes up from time to time in my head after many years.

Ахеронтас торопится жить и творить. Поэтому который раз выпускает достаточно средний альбом, который в задумке имел все основания стать отличным.
Есть ли в этом альбоме что-то хорошее? - Мелодии, атмосфера, присущий группе колорит.
Есть ли в этом альбоме что-то плохое? - Объективное отсутствие свежих идей и самокопание, гипертрофированная оккультная театральность подачи.

Как всегда, не хватило чего-то. Ни завершенности, ни эмоции, ни фонтанирующего эзотерического экстаза. Просто семь треков под одной обложкой.
Последний альбом, который производил относительно целостное о себе впечатление, это Faustian Ethos, которому предшествовал некий период мозгоедства и был он достаточно длительным. Ну и визитная карточка проекта Vamachara. Остальное все хождения по мукам творчества и высасывание из пальца некий мистический контент, который для слушателя в большей степени утомителен.
