I recommend ScarletFire's 2013.8.22 SoulseekQT build if you use Windows, if you can still find it (edit: https://soulseek.soft32.com/old-version/433855/2013.8.22/ -- I can't personally vouch for this copy, so I would run it through VirusTotal first at least). I love MetalArea, and I've used it for well over a decade, but I've found loads of obscure stuff on Soulseek that either doesn't exist on MetalArea at all, or if it does the links are dead or the rips are sub-V0.

edit: Ah, I didn't run any check on the mp3s. If I had known they were artificially converted I wouldn't have made the post. But regardless, there's no "scam" to speak of; I simply didn't check the files to see if they were true 320 or not. I apologize to anyone who may have been misled. However the fact remains that I never stood to gain anything from anyone; I was simply trying to be a more active and helpful member of this community.
