Extended info
The Russian/Ukrainian doom outfit Kauan's sixth album - "Muistumia." The album's title means "reminiscences" and is a professionally re-recorded collection of the band's best material from their early years, plus the opening track "Unsoi," which is a newly composed song.

And for English translation of bandleader Anton Belov's commentary about the tracks, see below -

01. Unsoi - I thought this is the best place to start the retrospective. This is actually a track written from the period predating Kauan but never-before-recorded. The lyrics are written in an inexact language. It's one of the first tracks of mine that I've made with a lot of atmospheric pads.

02. Aamu ja Kaste - This is the opening track from our debut album
"Lumikuuro" and one of the first tracks I wrote for Kauan. This is
a perfect example of my musical direction in 2006. I've always
been a fan of mixing genres and experimenting with sounds, but I
believe all of this should be done with great simplicity. Here's a
quiz: how many genres do you hear in this track?

03. Lumikuuro - The title track from Kauan's debut album. I should
be honest - the original 2007 debut has totally nonsensical lyrics.
It was written in the first months I began learning Finnish. I
decided to use this language because the words sound so beautiful
and because not that many people in the world know how to speak it. It was a bit tricky to find anything about Finnish in my home city,
and I only found one dictionary and just picked up random words.
One of them was "Lumikuuro"

04. Koivun Elämä - The fastest track on "Muistumia." I spent a
very long time writing this song, and the original idea came from
the drum sequence in the beginning of track. Also, this was my
first experience with "ambient" drones (in the centre of the track)
and with synth leads.

05. Sumun Syleily - This is a very interesting track to perform.
When I'm listening to it, I always find new details and how to play
them. I think this song will shine in our live gigs.

06. Äidin Laulu - Kauan's gate to the conceptual world. This track
is about 15 minutes long and has a very eclectic base. I can't
remember what were my main influences in composing this track, but a picture my mind associates with it is that of cherry blossoms.
It has the feeling of spring or early summer.

07. Orkidea - Strangely enough, I've never gone crazy for this song.
For me, it feels like a long and overly simple track. But after
our second album was released, we got a massive reaction to "Orkidea." Now I've redefined it - making it shorter, brighter and it begins to feel alright. When playing it live, people go wild from the
first moments, and it feels very nice for me as the author.

На самом деле, сразу было сказано, что планируется отдельный урезанный вариант на лейбле. Но вот то, что за полторы штуки (или больше? уже не помню) нам так и не досталось НИЧЕГО, кроме файлА — это, конечно, да. Да и я как-то не ожидал, что будет НАСТОЛЬКО много треков с дебюта.

В бонусах, конечно, есть интересные вещи, но без пухлой книжечки это всё как-то не катит.
