Melodic Doom/Death Metal? Послушал, и что оказалось на деле - никакого дэт/дума, а тем более дум/дэта (формула с акцентом на дэт) здесь нет и в помине! Основу материала ипишки составляют жёсткие и довольно темпераментные хэви-металл-рифы (разве их можно с чем-либо спутать!?), обильно сдобренные мелодичностью. К думу эти рифы не могут иметь никакого отношения - совершенно не тот темп и характер. От дэт/дума здесь только вокал - типичный жанровый гроулинг. Таким образом, получается, что англичане играют неочевидный коктейль - смесь хэви-металла с гроулингом, и всё это - мелодично. Честно говоря, смотрится неплохо и довольно симпатично. Жаль, Chorus Of Ruin в своём развитии так и не дошли до выпуска полноформатного альбома. Команда распалась в 94-95-м. Зато лидер англичан гитарист Йен Бакстон впоследствии поиграл в таких коллективах, как Lazarus Blackstar и Solstice. 8/10
