2001 Remaster bonus tracks:
- Fight For Your Life (previously unreleased, recorded during the "Screaming for Vengeance", possibly 1981 or 1982)
- Riding On The Wind (live, recorded at the US Festival, Glen Helen Park, Devore, CA. May 29, 1983)

"Fight For Your Life" is the original version of "Rock Hard Ride Free" from the album "Defenders of the Faith". This version was recorded around 1981-82 during "Screaming for Vengeance" sessions, but remained in the vault until two years later when it appeared on the band's next album "Defenders of the Faith".

Originally released as "Killing Machine" in Britain and Europe, in 1978 without "The Green Manalishi", then re-released as "Hell Bent for Leather" in March, 1979 in the USA. The US version was forced to be delayed until 1979 so as to not compete with the then current album "Stained Class". The band themselves consistently refer to the album as "Killing Machine."

Альбом можно назвать практически сьопроцентно металлическим, за исключением Evening Star, в которой, как мне кажется, прослеживается влияние Nazareth. Остальные песни - среднетемповые номера (например, Delivering the Goods или Burnin' Up), разбавленные скоростными композициями (Hell Bent for Leather, Running Wild), металлическими маршами, которые так хорошо потом получались у Manowar (Take on the World, Evil Fantasies) и дополненные красивой балладой Before the Dawn. The Green Manalishi (With the Two-Pronged Crown) - изначально песня Fleetwood Mac, которую Judas Priest довольно неплохо переделали, оставив явно узнаваемым лишь гитарное соло.
