По сравнению с последующим альбомом, Animal Magnetism (1980), следов прогрессивного рока здесь нет. Но... есть одна из лучших в мире хард-баллад (Holiday - даже для незнающих английский снять слова очень нетрудно, немцы по варварски относятся к произношению чужих слов), и пара ритмичных и запоминающихся композиций (Loving You Sunday Morning и Lovedrive). 6/10

Paul Zver, лучшая их баллада однозначно. С боевиками сравнивать сложно. Но если брать все баллады в мире, сколько их вообще ни есть, Holiday будет в топ-10 без вопросов. Тут мне пришла в голову идея выбора лучшей рок-метал-баллады, но сделайте вид, что вы не заметили (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif)

Ну насчёт лучшего Старик загнул ого-го как. Нет, однозначно. Сэведж Амюзмент или Вирджин Киллер на голов миллион сильнее. А здесь только 3 и 8 песни нравятся, хоть и слушал альбом много.

Концерт неплох, но всё же для меня они исключительно студийная группа, хоть и не отрицаю их профессионализм и качество живых выступлений. Но это не Ингви (хоть и сравниваю несравнимое), у которго каждый концерт (особенно в приснопамятных 90-х) как манна небесная. А какие там импровизы...

с первых нот слышится традишнл хэви метал начала 80-х, бодрый, ровный и позитивный. анти-кашерная облога в принципе тоже даёт это недвусмысленно понять.

Переслушал. Мнение не поменялось - узнаваемые, те самые, каноничные Скорпы содержатся лишь в Always Somewhere, Holiday. Распробовал ещё Can`t Get Enough - отличный дёрганый нервный боевичок, неплохой регги-эксперимент Is There Anybody There?, цепляющая куплетами Lovedrive. Но этого всего явно недостаточно, чтобы этот альбом стал лучшим (или одним из лучших) у группы. Хороший, интересный, необычный, в чём то экспериментальный, разноплановый - да, но не более. Целостности и единого стержня не хватает релизу.

Одни из основоположников традиции. Не могу сказать, что на 100% моя музыка, но к старым скорпам отношусь с уважением. Для меня скорпы это по большей части музыка медляков и гитарных соляков. Очень плохо понимаю их манеру играть бодро и живо, теряются на фоне ровесников, ничего не запоминается и в душу не западает.
