Что тут скажешь – Nile входит в число моих любимейших коллективов. В брутал-дэте нет группы, которую бы я слушал так часто и с таким мазохистским удовольствием (ибо частое воспроизведение дисков Nile – это занятие далеко не из легких, я вам доложу, – от этой болезненной музыки можно заработать головную боль). Это не просто techno brutal death – это музыка, доведенная до каких-то заоблачных высот техничности, мрачности и брутальности. Это – осмелюсь сказать крамольную мысль – даже вовсе не death в классическом понимании, ибо дэт, по-моему, не способен раздвигать музыкальные горизонты инструментовок, исполнительского мастерства и создаваемой атмосферы настолько широко. Это – самый думовый коллектив во всем не относящемся напрямую или опосредованно к думу метале, и этим он меня, наверное, и привлекает больше других. Но последние утверждения – сугубо личное мнение. Колоссы, беспрекословные лидеры и гении от брутал-дэта – великая группа Nile – этим концептуальным альбомом утвердились на троне дэт-метала. Ныне и присно, и во веки веков. Аминь.

Почему бескомпромиссный? Именно на этом альбоме сделан бОльший чем на других реверанс в сторону этнических фишек... послушай концовку I Whisper In The Ear Of The Dead.... вот такие эпизоды меня лично и торкают (хотя и другие тоже)... А вот превозносимая многими Unas Slayer Of the Gods меня почему-то оставляет равнодушным. Вообще, считаю вторую часть альбома, как раз начиная с шепота в уши мертвяков и кончая последним треком, самой идеально отточенной и (непобоюсь) шедевральной среди всего творчества америкосов. Не знаю, может это уже общеизвестный факт, но рифф, с корого начинется Unas Slayer of the Gods, позаимствован из песни Candlemass - The Well of Souls с альбома Nightfall. Когда ознакамливался с последним, долго вспоминал, откуда он мне знаком.
