mirotvorets про этот альбом крепко сказанул, я практически со всем сказанные согласен, разве что про "номер 1" - нет. МА, как мне представляется, коснулись "смерти" в контексте того, что после неё Все попадут в ад, все столкнуться с бесами и демонами, страданиями и мучениями в плане воздаяния за грехи свои, ну а глубина погружения для каждого своя будет. Это если говорить про тексты, про обложку. Музыкально альбом ещё в то далёкое время, когда вышел, удивил меня своей смелость, поскольку музыканты в полной мере позволили себе не ограничиваться скоростями, разнообразием риффов, скоростью и безумием гитарных соло, злостью вокала. Всего хватило в избытке, так что потом ещё многие пользовались наследием Altars Of Madness. В плане атмосферы мой любимый трэк Chapel of Ghouls, Maze of Torment великолепна в плане сложности ритмического рисунка, а риффы круче всего в Immortal Rites и Damnation.
