Великолепный альбом! И нечего здесь искать черную кошку в темной комнате. Саффокэйшн хороши своим фирменным неторопливым мощным брутальным звуком и мрачной атмосферой. Одна из лучших работ у американцев.

Альбом показался рядовым. Но исторический голос повсюду убеждает в обратном. Что делать в таком случае? Я стал разбирать гитарные партии - нет, всё стандартно, никаких особых всплесков... В общем, так и не понял я в чём ценность данного альбома. Единственное, что всерьёз впечатляет - ощущение некой целостности и непоколебимой сверхустойчивой брутальности. А звук гитар и вовсе предполагает 1 000 тем на гитарных форумах мира с заголовком а-ля "Можно ли накрутить звук Suffocation на Металзоне?" Или вечного вопроса "Бывает ли звук тяжелее, чем у Suffocation?" Возможно, где-то в области столь частого цитирование и находится ответ об исторической значимости и музыкальной состоятельности...
Наиболее сильными показались вещицы "Depths of Depravity" (соло, концовка), "Torn Into Enthrallment" (местами запоминающиеся риффы, перемежаемые более банальными), "Synthetically Revived" (один подрывной риффец). Эти 3 вещи оставил как пример, альбом снёс. |

насчёт 93 года согласен , хотя звук на первом 1991 был хорош и даже весьма, но сам материал ка по мне слабоват и слишком много бластбитов и повторений типа ЮЮЮЮЮЮЮЮЮЮЮЮЮЮЮ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif)
