Еще одна жемчужинка старого доброго олдскульного (техно-)дэта.
Ставим в один ряд с лучшими работами Devastation, Immolation, Autopsy, Massacre, Embrionic Death, Seance, Solstice того же золотого периода 1989-93. Послушал Dying Remains (1993) наверное раз пять подряд... Кааайфф.

Death metal в котором есть элементы старого мрачного деза начала 90х, что-то от Шульдинеровской школы, что-то от ранних работ Свано, ну и без скоростных шредовых соло под ускоренную ритм-секцию тоже не обошлось. Основной темп игры низкий, сразу же возникают ассоциации со страшной музыкой Incantation с тем лишь отличием, что современное творчество последних ожесточено задранным выше крыши дисторшном, а здесь - классический мягкий и плотный звук, не забивающий бас-гитару.

Композиции простые, лишь иногда, при разгонах всплывают присущие tdm элементы. Часто можно встретить back-solos a la Brutality 1993-1994. Вокал низкий и сырой. Мрачная атмосфера идёт немного в стороне от башкотряса, так что альбом подойдет скорее для вдумчивого и медитативного прослушивания, нежели для выброса потенциальной энергии наружу.

Моя оценка будет средней. Музыка хорошая, но и в те далёкие времена некоторые группы играли интереснее.

Открыл для себя эту группу недавно. И как такая группа оказалась за бортом авангарда жанра?!
Великолепная работа с инструментами и чувство музыки. Все звучит целостно, ярко, интересно, при том, что все выдержано в одном ключе и ничего не выделяется. Может оно и к лучшему. И конечно, этот звук 90-х! В общем одно сплошное удовольствие! Прослушано уже неоднократно, руки так и тянутся включить заново.
