The band Prvni hore (The First sorrow) continues the tradition of Czech alternative music of the 1990s. With its inexhaustible energy, rough guitars, electronic samples and wild rhytms, however, it finds new, up-to-date ways of this musical style. The band are well known for their furious performances but on the new album Lamento they also present the dark and lyrical part of their production - tinged with the timbre of the accordion and supplemented with poetic lyrics. Prvni hore started already in 1998 and published the album "Na upati" (At the Foot) in 2003 but it is record "Commedia dell arte" that shows fully what a remarkable and promising ensemble they are. In October 2008 Prvni hore releases its third album "Lamento" which has been highly recommended by musical critique and fans. In february 2009 "Lamento" was nominated for the Anděl awards (Hard and Heavy cathegory), which means the highest musical award in Czech.
