Extended info
about:
(ENDE118) Hypergrinder - Mental Illness
Hot on the heels of our first metal releases at ENDE Records a few weeks ago from "Archie Martin Vox" comes "Hypergrinder" the metal project of UK producer Steve Munslow aka Hyperdriver and Hyperex Machina.
Hypergrinder is a one man metal machine of lunatic thrash and comedic death metal. Although the lyrics are semi-serious. The music is perfectly executed. Munslow obviously has a love of classic thrash like Slayer and Anthrax and original death metal like Venom and Bathory.
Playing all the instruments himself (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals) He gives you 5 moments of metalstacy that were produced a few years ago and have even been kicking around on Youtube for a while. Don't let the "breakcore/noise guy gives metal a bash" idea faze you either. Munslow actually has a past in metal and punk. He actually does know what he's doing with these instruments.
After hearing these tracks he showed me. I had to have them. After you hear "The Religion Song" and the drum rolls on opener "Mental Illness" you'll see why.
