According to my dear colleague Richard G. Infernal Poetry is "one of the few bands that speak an absolute truth by calling their own music schizo death metal". And I can definitely find myself backing that statement having listened to their new mini-CD that they released as a preview to their new upcoming album 'Nervous System Faillure'.
And yet, there is no sign of complete and utter chaos ore completely 'at random' played riffs here. On the contrary, the four songs on 'Nervous System Checking' even have a recognizable chorus! The music consists of completely 'over-the-top technical death metal, but fans of Psycroptic or Anata should take into account that these Italians have added another ingredient which they might not appreciate: humor. Indeed, the weird voices of singer Paolo and the illogical rhythmic paces the band takes make you think of the more hectic work of a certain mister Patton, so the more serious acid eaters are warned. If you do like the word 'weirdness' you should keep up to date with the release date of the next full-length by Infernal Poetry, you could be in for a surprise!
