Achyronthia - echoes of brutality. Probably good thrash metal band with same death and black influences. Check review at lordsofmetal.nl!

Frank V.: The record label Mausoleum does not have a good reputation, at least for me, because I can still remember in my old memory that in the eighties, one after another other band was signed and released a crappy album. But now Mausoleum already has begun a new life some years ago, where they look seriously at the quality that is offered. This is proved also with this Achyronthia, they know how to make very ingenious solid heavy metal with catchy death, black metal influences in it. Firstly, there is the beautiful artwork on this album. Secondly, it is very original in using keyboards, although supportive only, but it really adds a unique style to the sound. The singer Jokke Ponette has a perfect grunt and he used it frequently. Downside are the normal clean vocals, which really must be improved. The tracks are all of an excellent level, after a great instrumental intro the album kicks off with 'Operation Overlord' immediately it is clear that we should take these Belgians seriously. As mentioned earlier the clean vocals are not the strongest point and that we hear back in ґDark Side Rising' which overall is a great track only those clean vocals. Conclusion must be that we have another fine album. Time for a closer introduction me thinks.
