About Burning Point
BURNING POINT was founded in the Fall of 1999 in Oulu, Finland. After the recordings of a promotional CD, the band managed to get a record deal with a well-know German based metal label where they released the albums "Salvation By Fire" (2001) and "Feeding The Flames" (2003) plus the single "To Hell And Back" (2004) on Poison Arrow Records (Finland/ Sweden only). Despite massive legal problems which ended up in fightings with lawyers and the loss of their record deal, the band nevertheless managed to get some live slots on some big festivals such as Tuska Metal and Sweden Rock. In 2005, BURNING POINT recorded another promotional CD which was brought to the attention of Metal Heaven in Germany who offered the band a record deal. "Burned Down The Enemy" both marks the end of an era but also the beginning of something new. The "new" BURNING POINT line-up is packed with energy and all band members now are totally standing behind the band. Musically, "Burned Down The Enemy" is by far the most heaviest and aggressive album in the band's history, altough they haven't forgotten the great melodies and huge choruses. The album was recorded at Hellgate studios in Oulu, mixed in Tonebox studios and mastered in Finnvox studios. The limited version of this release will include 3 bonus tracks: "My reign, my fire", "Heart of gold (Demo)", "The road to hell"
