In their early days, Isis were a hardcore band. They later moved on to a more-Neurosis (US) influenced sound and most recently, post rock. Isis is a female goddess in the Egyptian mythology. She was worshipped as the archetypal wife and mother.
Aaron Turner is the owner of Hydrahead Records, which is home to bands like Pelican and Jesu. Upcoming Releases: Live V, and a collaboration with Tim Hecker.
