An honor to premiere here this compilation by these tyrants of the Portuguese underground, never forgotten by those who follow the cult. Compiling the MLP of the same name, released in 2014, now for the first time available on vinyl, the 2011 EP "Abyssum Invocare" and closing with an exclusive track, never before released, the rotting shamanism and deathly obsession of "Ritual das Sombras"
Appearing after the demise of Summum Malum, both Summum Malum and Arcanus Tenebrae along with Infernüs played most certainly a pivotal role in turning the Portuguese Black Metal into a darker, rawer and unforgiving strain, both sonically and spiritually of what Black Metal could become, remaining until this day two of the best projects to have been sprung from this scene, besides often unforgivably ignored.
Most likely taking influence from the most acrid and misanthropic aspects of early Darkthrone and acts who built upon this death worshipping, abyssal current going further into the depths of the ethos such as Warloghe or Mütiilation, Arcanus Tenebrae crafted truly evil and satanic Black Metal through primitive means, murderous guitarwork that evokes the unstoppable triumph of evil over a veil of decrepit melancholy and hatred, always accompanied by utterly demonic vocals and an ever incredible and creative drum work.
