Since 2005, Charis has been manhandling overpriced golf equipment, returning lost average-sized iguanas to their owners, and keeping their eyes open for that rare Charizard holographic. All of these qualities have helped to mold Charis into who they are today: five dudes from the Twin Cities who like to play Frisbee and create metal music. From blast beats to breakdowns to crew shouts, Charis does it all and everything in between. Silly at times, random most of the time, and serious only a tiny portion of the time, Charis does what they can to present a positive message through fun, upbeat, and aggressive music. Although they are a silly and easy-going group of guys, Charis is serious about the music they make, with lyrics stemming all the way from biblical scripture and ancient hymns to the trials and tribulations of everyday life.
