'Carmen Funebre' is based on the renowned 'Funeral March' by Frédéric Chopin, the third movement of his 1837 Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor. ERSHETU take the Polish composer’s legendary melodic theme on a twisted and layered trip into a labyrinthine death-chamber of orthodox Black Metal malevolence, Latin-derived choral grandeur, stately piano flourishes, sacred solemnity and reverent darkness.
