Ilenkus are a five piece progressive metal band from Galway, Ireland. Formed in 2010, Ilenkus consists of the members of their previous band FUBAR. Their influences as musicians vary widely, from psychedelic rock to hardcore to electro. All members of the group share a passion for sonically heavy instrumentation and are influenced mainly by progressive, alternative metal. Powerful and unusual rhythms combine with melodic, heavy riffs and vocals to dominate their sound. They have played throughout Ireland over the last seven years in venues up and down the country. Thus far they've had the pleasure of sharing the stage with acts such as: The Ocean, Rolo Tomassi, Only Fumes And Corpses, Five Will Die, Murdock, Axis Of, C!ties, The James Cleaver Quintet, Former Monarchs, Trenches, Neifenbach, Rites, We Come In Pieces, Shardborne, Vagrants, Three Hour Ceasefire, Mustang Hobo, Dian Chect, Brains, Race The Flux, Jimmy The Hideous Penguin, The Hardcore Priests Of Yemen and countless other talented acts.
