Biography:
Infernal Revulsion was formed during May 2005 in Kobe, Kansai, with a starting lineup of Hidenori Sato (Vocal), Kouichi Masuda (guitar), Masahiro Nagatomo (guitar), Shinichi Semba (bass) and Masazumi Mitsuno (drums). A self-release single Loathsome Breeding Of Virulent Revolt was released featuring two tracks in search for a label. Infernal Revulsion made their first appearance at Tokyo Deathfest 2006, together with domestic and international brutal death metal acts such Internal suffering, Disavowed, Putrid Pile, Viral Load, Proteus, Vomit Remnants, Disconformity. Soon after, Infernal Revulsion was signed to underground label Goregiastic Records and released their debut full length Devastate Under Hallucination in January 2007. After a domestic tour, Infernal Revulsion went off to their first international tour to America, played in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and made their appearance at California Deathfest 2007. Shortly after the tour, Masahiro Nagatomo left the band due to his private issues. Infernal Revulsion managed to immediately fill the role with Takahiro Yamauchi from band Embraceselegy. The band has reinforced its foundation and appeared at Tokyo Deathfest 2008 as a domestic headliner, playing with Devourment, Malignancy, Cephalotripsy, Condemned and many other domestic acts. Gaining definite reputation, Infernal Revulsion signed with Revenge Productions to release their 2nd full length. The band hit the studio in November 2008 and after 4 month of work, released Dead But Breathing in March 2009, this release demonstrated the bands capability of producing extreme sound not just brutal slamming death metal, but amalgamation of death metal, thrash metal and hard core, which reached #22 on the Burrn magazine, imported disk chart. In April 2009, Infernal Revulsion has shifted their base location to Tokyo; at the same time Koichi Masuda left the band due to his private reasons. The band faces struggle fresh off the move, however Katsuyuki Ota, former member of Infected Malignity joined the camp, adding extra strength to the band. Infernal Revulsion held their release showcase The Most Brutal Reign in December 2009. Despite the lagged holding, the show turned out to be a huge success and made revival to the scene. With complete establishment of the band foundation, Infernal Revulsion went on a domestic tour and on to their second international tour to America. Once again visiting same places, Infernal Revulsion finished off their American tour by playing at Central Illinois Metalfest 2010 with bands such as Malevolent Creation, Origin, Misery Index and etc. After coming back to Japan, Infernal Revulsion played at Freestyle Outro’7, summer festival in Osaka with Skarhead headlining and with many other acts from different genre of music. In November 2011, the band went on a Japan tour as a supporting act for Despised Icon. After appealing its name across the underground extreme music scene and gaining reputation, Infernal Revulsion is currently writing a new material for upcoming release.
