Ravishing was originally formed in july 2000 by vocalist Michael Soergel and drummer Michael Huhle and soon added guitarist Kristoffer B. Olsen. A rushed line-up was added for a first short gig only 4 months later.
First demo-cd “Bride in Shrouds” was recorded and released in summer 2001 and the second demo “Gravewhisper” early 2002. This time with a full line-up with guitarist David Mota and bassist Jannik Thordal added to the band.
The single-demo track “Rottingprocessexperience” was recorded in july 2002 in a time of many line-up changes, chaos and confusion.
In mid 2003 a new line-up was Soergel, Huhle and Kristoffer with guitarists Daniel Low and Thomas Andersson and bassist Jess Torp. Live gigs were played, of which one was recorded as a live demo-cd and in january 2004 a studio-demo titled “A Study In Psychotic Terror” was recorded and contained some new tracks and re-recordings of old.
Soon both Thomas and Soergel left and Ravishing went on hiatus and the band finally split up after a gig in september 2005.
In 2011 Soergel and Huhle decided to reactivate Ravishing with drummer Danni, but Soergel and huhle chose to continue as a duo and reinvent the band and started working on songs for a new demo-cd, in an olschool death metal style they originally intended Ravishing to be in.
The “Return of the Hissing Voices...” demo is out now, and new songs are being written while a new line-up is being worked on..

A new demo-cd is now in the works and 6 new songs are ready..
