И хотя Парадайзом я переболел в 93-94 году, As I Die до сих пор вызывает у меня повышенное сердцебиение. Любимейшая песня у них, хотя как альбом целиком Icon мне нравится больше.

Разница принципиальная. Это не gothic doom - надо исправить стиль на doom/death в обязательном порядке, а то какое только г.. сейчас готиком не называют.
А узнали мы Парадайзов с альбома Gothic и Lost Paradise..
Альбому Shades Of God конечно 5+

Да не, "ГОТИК"-слишком уж заDOOMчивый, а SHADES-уже ближе к теме, хотя дальше было ещё великолепнее.
Хм, мне меньше всего нравится Shades Of God. Хотя последняя песня, конечно рулит!!!!!

Замечательный альбом. Лучший в дискографии коллектива да и вообще в стиле, так как сыграли парадайсы наверное никто не сможет. Это был мой первый альбом у них, и наверное последний.

А я узнавал по-порядку с самого первого, как ни странно, и даже расстраивался, когда они меняли стиль переходя от Lost Paradise к Gothic.

Этот альбом вообще стоит особняком, я его в те годы и вкурил не сразу. Мороченый в меру, в меру мелодичный(не попсовый). Слушаю с удовольствием и восхищением.

Могу дать две характеристики этому альбому: полунедозамороченный или полуперзамороченный. Тут нет середины. (И As I Die не спасает).

альбом просто убирает всякую критику... ощущения незабываемые, во всяком случае. недоброжелатели удавитесь с новомодной хренью типа дракониан, епта.

Вообще то Paradise Lost назвали свой альбом Gothic, в честь Celtic Frost, кем они вдохновлялись, и т.к. Том Варриор любил называть свою музыку готик металом. То есть ничего общего с готик роком (пост панком) стиль не имеет изначально. 20 лет уж прошло, пора бы уяснить.
А последующие их альбомы - это просто витки развития стиля.
